Affiliate disclosure

Dealfreak is supported by affiliate commissions. When you click a link to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Commissions never change the price you pay, and we do not accept payment to alter a product’s listed price. We may also earn from other retailers through affiliate networks such as Awin.

Prices shown are accurate at the time we last checked and can change. Always confirm the price with the retailer before buying.

What data we collect

• Usage data (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location) if you accept analytics cookies.
• Affiliate click data. When you click “Get deal”, the retailer or affiliate network sets cookies so they can credit us for a sale. We do not receive your name or payment details.
• Account data if you create an account: your email address, your chosen deal categories and minimum discount, and whether you opted in to deal emails. You can untick email alerts at any time, and ask us to delete your account.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary browser storage to run the site, for example to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics only runs if you click “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link. When you click a “Get deal” link, the retailer or affiliate network (such as Amazon or Awin) sets its own cookies on their site so we can be credited for a sale; we don’t control those, and you can block them in your browser settings.

How we use your data and our legal basis

We use data to run and improve the site and to earn affiliate commission. Our legal bases under UK GDPR are your consent (for non-essential cookies) and our legitimate interests (keeping the site secure and working). We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing and retention

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting and analytics) and with affiliate networks and retailers when you click through. We keep data only as long as needed for these purposes.
